Director of Sales
EVident Battery is a fast-growing startup founded by Yale MBAs, Engineering PhDs, and former Tesla engineer. We’re building industry-leading, non-destructive vibration inspection and vibration monitoring technology for EV battery packs—combining advanced hardware, machine learning, and data analytics to assess battery structural health and integrity in real time —and we go beyond EVs to apply the same platform to industrial machinery, labs, and other mobility systems. Our mission is to make EV battery health transparent and reliable, establishing a common diagnostic standard and the go-to data hub across EVs and beyond.
Opportunity
As Director of Sales, you will lead EVident Battery’s revenue growth across consumer markets and emerging verticals, including fleet, aftermarket, and industrial sectors. You will build scalable sales channels, strategic partnerships, and repeatable go-to-market processes that bring EVident’s diagnostic technology into real-world deployment.
Working closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams, you will shape customer segmentation, pricing, and market expansion while helping establish EVident as a trusted diagnostic platform for EV batteries and broader mobility and industrial systems.
Responsibilites
Consumer Market Expansion: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for EV owners, service centers, and repair networks. Build partnerships with online marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, and resellers.
Channel Development: Establish and manage retail and B2B2C channels, including distributors, service providers, and integrators.
Vertical Growth: Identify and scale new revenue streams in sectors such as fleets, insurance, renewable energy storage, heavy equipment, and marine/rail applications.
Product-Market Fit: Work with product and engineering teams to tailor offerings for consumer and vertical needs—pricing, packaging, and feature sets.
Partnership & Alliances: Build relationships with key ecosystem partners (OEMs, EV service networks, fleet managers, and data platforms) to expand adoption.
Brand & Marketing Alignment: Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and launches for each customer segment.
Sales Leadership: Manage the full sales funnel—pipeline creation, forecasting, negotiation, and closing. Establish repeatable sales processes and performance metrics.

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in consumer product sales, channel development, or vertical expansion—preferably in EV, automotive, mobility, or connected hardware/software industries.
Proven success launching or scaling new market categories.
Strong understanding of omni-channel sales and digital consumer engagement.
Experience building partnerships and negotiating agreements with distributors or platform partners.
Proficiency with CRM and outreach tools (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce; Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator) with data-driven pipeline hygiene, sequencing, A/B testing, and reporting.
Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on execution ability in early-stage environments.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
